James White and his “Reformed” Efforts Examined

Insha’Allahname withheld” will continue to learn about Islam & become Muslim Insha’Allah,” wrote a Muslim in reaction to a link Mr. Mohammed Khan of “fake ex-Muslims dot com” posted on Dr. Ergun Caner’s Facebook fan page on Sunday, June 6, 2010. [Insha'Allah means "God willing" in Arabic. Inset and emphasis mine.] You probably are curious to know who Muslims wish would become a Muslim. They are not involved in this saga in vain. He is none other than Dr. James White. The link was to a post on Alpha and Omega Ministries’ website. I have discussed how desperate Muslims are at spreading Islam in the United States. Apparently some Reformed Christians don’t get the point. One of them even said, “Regardless of what Ergun Caner has done, it does not change eternal truth in what God has done. Muslims laugh as do Christians.” I partly agree—we cannot change God’s will—but the lack of restraint is nauseating.

Some of these Reformed Christians have asked me on Facebook, twitter and comments on my blog, begging me to quit standing beside my fellow Christian of Muslim background, Dr. Ergun Caner. Some of them even argued I would lose credibility. I have defied their calls solely because there is not a vestige of truth in their claim. Their insults are proof that fidelity to the gospel is not what drives them, but advancing Dr. White’s cause at whatever cost, even to the truth.

Before I get started, I would like to thank Muslims who have helped us Christians to realize that we have a gargantuan problem within the Body of Christ. I apologize to Yahya and Jonathan on behalf of my Reformed Christian brethren who have insulted you. Please, forgive us.

Dr. James White asked me to appear on his radio program, the Dividing Line, to answer some of the “accusations” I had made about him and his ministry. He insisted that I call into his radio program to discuss him publicly. Even a friend of his wrote to me. He had a problem that it only took me six weeks to find inconsistencies in his statements. I was going to write and post about his double speaking last week but decided against it. The call to the radio was supposed to discuss him and his ministry. Please listen and judge for yourself if the rules were followed.

He has gone on record to claim that the Christianity Today article on Dr. Ergun Caner did not go “far enough” because Liberty University is its main advertiser. I called him on his speculation. For example, when Mr. John Kennedy of CT called on April 22 to interview him about the saga, he praised him on the Dividing Line as an experienced reporter who had written “over 1000 articles.” And when the article did not meet his expectation, he was quick to speculate on the advertisement and he ran away with it. He claims CT is a for-profit organization and it risked losing ad money had the reporter covered everything he had said in the interview. He defended his speculation on the radio. He insisted that he was not defaming Liberty University, John Kennedy or Christianity Today. I was bothered by his claim and decided to contact Christianity Today. What I discovered is shocking. Liberty University is not even in the top “100 CT advertisers.” Contrary to Dr. White, it is a non-profit and you can find its IRS information here and its Evangelical Council of Financial Accountability records here. I am in shock that the Diving Line has officially become the Dissing Line not only of Christians but also of reputable Christian organizations. Is Dr. White going to apologize for ruining these reputations? When I asked him where his speculation fit in Ephesians 4:29, he retorted in a tweet, “Before I block you, I must say thank you as well: your unwillingness to answer direct and honest questions was very telling.”

Dr. White’s Christian fans believe everything he says about Islam. They would rather take his word on Islam than a Muslims’. For those who are unaware, he made what I call a “parody” video of Dr. Caner’s pronunciation of Arabic words. I urged Dr. White to refrain from discussing the Caner Brothers. He never listened. Now Muslims have a better reason, which would be a clue to stop but I do not know if he would listen. I wonder if he is accountable to anyone. There is a problem with the video. Some Muslims kindly asked Dr. White to edit the video or put a disclaimer that there is a verse missing. The error is due to a mishandling of Suratul Al-Fatihah, the “first” chapter of the Qur’an. An entire verse was left out when the tutor recited. (The tutor is an Arab Christian and was never a Muslim.) Dr. White joined in the recitation and did not catch the error. The video is now on YouTube. Muslims want it edited because it misrepresents the Qur’an. Apparently, that is too much to ask of Dr. White. He wrote a blog entry about the error, dismissing Muslims’ request as “irrational.” Is this sort of arrogance befitting of a minister of the Gospel? I asked him about it and he tweeted, “Why do you care so much about what irrational people think? I do not understand it.” He and his tutor made a mistake and he does not acknowledge it. Do Phoenix Reformed Baptist Church and Alpha and Omega Ministries have a consistory and board of directors respectively? If they do, something needs to be done about his behavior.

He maintains that the Caner Brothers are fake ex-devout Muslims. Court documents destroy his argument. He has not apologized and it does not look like he will any time soon. He argues that a Christian leader should be “above reproach.” Now he balks at what he has been calling Dr. Ergun Caner to do. Even a legal document, one that was issued more than three decades ago by a county government in Ohio cannot convince him. Are we going to believe this document  or Dr. White who merely pontificates? You be the judge.

Muslims’ attack on Dr. Caner has fizzled but Reformed Christians are striving to keep it in the spotlight. I am fully convinced that nothing would satisfy them to drop some issues. Here is a prime example. There are Muslims who scrutinize everything Dr. White says about Islam. They are keen, especially when he spews his knowledge of Islam to debunk Dr. Caner. Not all his outings have been successful. He made mistakes—with no corrections or apologies—on Islamic teachings, most noticeably prayer in the bathroom. A Sunni Muslim who adheres to Malik Madhaba (school of law) had urged him to stop his charade in March when he first started talking about the issue on the DL. This Muslim man in fact wrote to Dr. White six weeks before I called into DL. He asked him to stop discussing the prayer in the bathroom issue, because it was a non-issue, citing different Islamic fatwa (edicts), which according to Hanafi school of law (which Dr. Caner’s father adhered to) supported prayer in the bathroom. This Muslim even brought up a scenario with Dr. White about an incarcerated Muslim in a cell with no walls separating the bathroom from his living area. Dr. White never listened and continued discussing the issue. He got airtime out of it even after I called into his program six weeks later. He even brought it up last Thursday on DL.

I know Reformed Christians who have written to Dr. White about their concerns in regards to his involvement in this saga, and how he has not acted according to scriptures. Whenever they tried to have him focus, at least examine his own involvement; he always ended up turning the conversation toward the Caner Brothers.

His fans, supporters and colleagues have been asking me about “Hadith 29:82” that he challenged me to identify on DL. Once again, I repeat. I addressed the Hadith issue—which even Muslims do not make an issue—in a previous post on May 15, 2010. I said “there is no “official” way to cite Hadith. The most authentic Hadith collection is Sahih Bukhari. Many times when it is quoted, it comes without the name because it is the most authentic and widely referenced. I have checked some of the aHadith in question and they come from Sahih Bukhari. If there were any errors on the Caner Brothers’ part, it was very minor.” I never said that there was no problem in Unveiling Islam pertaining to how aHadith were cited.  I avoided answering the questions “on-air” because Muslims are some of Dr. White’s biggest fans. His lampooning of any Christian who disagrees with him on any matter draws them. Since I did not have the Hadith books at hand, I did not answer it lest Muslims use the incorrect answer against me. Dr. White is frantically trying to keep the Hadith discrepancies in the spotlight. I should recommend that Dr. White venture out of his self-schooling environment. Only then will he open his eyes to Islamic views that differ from his or meet people who would call him to account. There is more a student gains outside of his or her self-study. A complete library can only take you so far.

A few Reformed radio programs have given some airtime to Dr. White. He continues the same stories. I am convinced beyond the shadow of any doubt that Dr. James White is not participating in this saga to get to the truth but to drag this issue on for personal gain. So far, people who have publicly disagreed with him have been labeled. His fans have targeted them as well. He and his fans blame my “irrationality” on my cultural background. Rich Price, the President of Alpha and Omega Ministries, tweeted about me, “@HusseinWario I am seriously beginning to wonder if you are nothing short of a crackpot.”

I was familiar with the Reformed faith even prior to coming to the United States in 1996. I never heard of Dr. White or his ministry until April 2010. Now that tells you where he ranks as a Reformed theologian. For you Baptist folks, I know we have some theological disagreements but do not look at Reformed Christians through what Dr. White or his friends espouse. Even Reformed people have written to him to ask to stop his campaign. It seems like only his fans (who include Muslims) agree with him that it is biblical to continue this public debate about a brother in Christ. The time has come to ignore Dr. James White as long he continues to promote himself and not the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

I have said in the past that he has some underlying problems, which his supporters and fans are oblivious to. I have consulted a few brothers about his situation. Some of what has been said is not fit to share. I have been asked to leave him alone because he does not even get along with his colleagues. The man is never wrong. He, as a smart and prolific Christian theologian should concede some grounds that he is not well versed in, right? Sadly, even his narrow knowledge of Islam through self-study cannot be challenged. I hope he reconsiders his way. He asked for this post and his wish has been granted.

I knew nothing about this situation until I stumbled upon your blog. My background is Reformed Christian, but I agree with what I can understand about your stance on this issue. Do not be discouraged, there are probably many more of Reformed background who would also agree with you and many, many more Christians of all different backgrounds who would just encourage you to keep on keeping on. Men of deep conviction sometimes seem rare to me, but really they are not. To me you seem like one of those men who will take a stand, and it would take a visit from God himself to turn their direction to the right or to the left.

      Thank you, Suzanne.

Thank you so very much for presenting a different angle to this situation. The Bible teaches that God is not pleased with ONLY Judgement, nor is He pleased with ONLY Grace. Somehow in His infinitude, he can equally balance 100% Judgement and 100% Grace; a feat too difficult for ANY human.

I do believe Caner should be held responsible for any sin that may have been committed, but God will also offer him Grace. Our brother, Dr. White, seems to be very good at one of those. We should pray for the Lord to teach him balance…we should pray for the Lord to teach us ALL balance.

    Thank you!

John…good doggie! Woof Woof! Good doggie!

  • John

Just listened to your DL with White. You’re officially an idiot. this is my last post. bye

    • http://www.cracksinthecrescent.com Hussein

      Thank you, John.

  • John

Seriously, I’m so fed up with Christianity and people like you Hussein. You talk about truth and integrity in one sentence and then overlook a fellow believer’s lies the next because he was a former Muslim. You present Mr. White in the worst light possible when he would make u look silly if u ever tried to really engage him with any of the bull crap u spew. He’s debated top scholars in many religions and thats not from his own mouth phony boy. That’s factual. Check the names out. Who hasn’t heard of Christopher Hitchens but White is gearing up to debate him next. White may have bad feelings toward Caner but he doesn’t make things up and carry himself in a dishonest way like u and Caner do. Yeah I said u. Anyone who overlooks truth to suit their own agenda is dishonest. White speaks facts even if he does it to hurt the other person. I don’t know his motives and neither do you so stop trying to. You’re starting to make me sick so maybe I should not read the crap that you spew out anymore.

    • http://www.cracksinthecrescent.com Hussein

Again, John, you do not know my position. Keep it up with your ignorance.

  • John

Hussein, you want to drop the whole Caner thing but you couldn’t even bring yourself to admit that he lied on numerous occasions in light of tons of evidence. You’re a complete joke and if you aren’t for truth in all areas, no one will care about your testimony either!

  • John

He has not repented! Stop with that garbage! He lied in public and should repent in public. Saying you never purposely misled anyone IS A LIE when you tell people you came to America at 15 when dude was 3. LOLOLOLOL! Since I went to Liberty, let me share with u what happened a few years back. After Caner and his brother changed the rules of the debate with just a week to go, White had had enough. The emails show that Caner was dogging and being completely disrespectful over a period of months to White and never truly wanted to debate. When Caner’s fraudulent self went before the student body, they said “White didn’t want to adhere to the rules of the debate. Many people who read the emails lost respect for Caner then and this lying about his past only makes sense. He is out to profit. Open your eyes Hussein! He sought out attention after 9-11 and made up this grand story and sold books and charged 35 freekin dollars to buy his testimony on DVD. I wrote him about this and he responded very coldly as would be expected. I still have the email. You know nothing about White except that he has a personal vendetta against Caner which I agree with. This has NOTHING TO DO WITH FAME bro! White didn’t talk about Caner for 3 and a half years after the debate debacle until Caner called him out. That’s right bro, Caner went after White first. Just like he did when they were supposed to debate 4 years ago. You have very little knowledge on those two so stop trying.

    • http://www.cracksinthecrescent.com Hussein

We agree at least on one thing: “he [White] has a personal vendetta against Caner.”

  • http://www.purposedrivel.com Paula Coyle

“Dr. White’s Christian fans believe everything he says about Islam. They would rather take his word on Islam than a Muslims’.”

And now, YOU are lying according to the same standards to which you have tried to hold Dr White.

  • http://www.purposedrivel.com Paula Coyle

Whether Dr White is correct on the prayer in the bathroom thing is beside the point. The point is that Caner claims to have prayed in the bathroom while fearing persecution, but then was so afraid of persecution that he wore traditional garb? Makes no sense.

Also Internet advertising, if a Liberty U ad banner popped up on the Caner story, it would certainly give the impression they are an advertiser? Before charging Dr O on any speculations he made on the LIberty ads, perhaps researching how internet advertising works would be in order. Dr O could recant that and Caner would still be a liar. So what?

You seem to be choking at disputable gnats while swallowing an undisputable camel.

  • John

you not hearing of Dr. White means nothing. He was famous at Liberty a few years back when Caner wussed out of debating him on Calvinism. Don’t believe me? Read the emails. Also, this same reformed apologist who doesn’t rank very high on your list has debated some of the top apologist in many different religions. Shabir Ally, the famous Muslim apologist Caner lied about debating had 4 debates with James White. Who has heard of Caner outside of the little Liberty bubble and the SBC. Get out in the real world!

    • http://www.cracksinthecrescent.com Hussein

I never said that Dr. Ergun Caner never sinned. He has repented. What else do you need as a Christian? Are you going to tell Dr. White to quit his discussion of Liberty University and Dr. Caner now? What is beneficial about his continued discussion? I know for a fact that this is personal for him. These brothers are famous. Their audience calls them “experts” on Islam. Dr. White said in an interview in May, “Why are we elevating people like these to the position of expertise when they” converted at young age?
You say, “He [Dr. White] was famous at Liberty a few years back when Caner wussed out of debating him on Calvinism.” His fame is due to Liberty. It gave him the fame then, he enjoys it right now. He is a very smart guy. He knows very well and is capitalizing on this saga for more. How biblical is that? Just read his reaction to his quotes in the Washington Post article. He is pleased because he was quoted extensively. You need to open your eyes, brother.

  • Salvatore Mazzotta

    Mr. Wario,

I do not mean to suggest that you intend your blog to serve as a forum for promoting Islam. But I don’t know how anyone can doubt that the kind of careless and bitter flame-throwing that you are engaging in against fellow Christians is encouraging to the enemies of the cross. It does appear to be emboldening them, sadly.

  • http://razorskiss.net RazorsKiss

No, I don’t think there is a coincidence at all, Salvatore. When you lose your balance, you’ll end up in this sort of fix. If you’re going to offer criticsm, offer it in a balanced way. You’ll still catch heat, but you won’t be a flytrap for other imbalanced critics to have a platform. It’s rather unfortunate, and I wish Bro. Hussein would have taken my advice initially.

    • http://www.cracksinthecrescent.com Hussein

      RazorsKiss & Salvatore:

My website is not a “forum for the promotion of Islam” like Salvatore wants people to believe, but an avenue where even Muslims can comment. Unlike at Alpha & Omega Ministries, a “ministry” that has become Dr. James White’s mouthpiece, advancing his vision of capitalizing on his Christian brothers and sisters to achieve his otherwise-unachievable goals. You can whine here but, even though you are Dr. White’s ardent followers, you have no voice at aomin.org where all comments and emails are censored. RazorsKiss, keep on complaining about my style of argument. Apparently, only Dr. White and his followers find my articles unbalanced. Thank you very much.

  • Salvatore Mazzotta

Looks like the comments section of this site are becoming a forum for the promotion of Islam, while the articles are used to unjustly slam Christian apologists. Coincidence?

  • http://thegrandverbalizer19.blogspot.com/ Jonathan Dupree

With the name of God, Peace be unto those who follow the guidance from their Lord.

Ah looks like James White got caught with more egg on his face at the Arab festival in Detroit.

http://www.aomin.org/aoblog/index.php?itemid=3985 < James White with more empty rhetoric. *Note* none of the real issues are dealt with. I wonder why after my last post some people have decied to quitely walk away. I wonder why Sam Shamoun who was advertised for weeks to have a Muslim debate partner TBA on James aomin site never had a debate partner?

I would say this is a case of 'told you so'. Now we can see the calibre of person James White is and the people with whom he associates with.

Notice that White says in the blog above, I do hope proper legal representation will lead to a meaningful civil action that will re-establish the rule of law (not Sharia) in Dearborn. As long as their cameras are not tampered with or destroyed, that should be the result, if justice prevails.

Notice that David and Nabeel are INNOCENT BEFORE We have all the FACTS and before we have the video footage? This is also how White likes to deal with Ergun Caner too. Ergun is guilty before there is any hearing at liberty.

Just like White's cohorts Nabeel and David are innocent even though James was not there and he doesn't know what happened. Yeah please do go and see the link White gives in his blog and look at the Christians who commented and asked them why is that so many Christians go there and evangelize Muslims and nothing happens?

I would also encourage you to read this blog here too :http://thefactsaboutislam.blogspot.com/2010/06/acts17apologetics-group-arrested-and.html

You people can believe what you want about Ergun Caner but let me assure you Mr. White is not on the 'up and up' rest assured.

By the way I just wanted to say two other people were in the Dearborn area who are Christians that I want to make sure are NOT associated with James White.

    1) Tony Costa a respect engaging Christian who has debated Muslims numerous times. He is not a show boat meglomaniacial instigator like White, Wood and Nabeel.

    2) Mary Jo Sharp a budding apologist and a woman who thus far has shown taste.

So I wanted to clear their good names.

What a shameful end to James White's ministry. From a descent debator in the late 80s /early 90s to a charlatan and an attention grabbing self starter.

  • http://thegrandverbalizer19.blogspot.com/ Jonathan Dupree

With the name of God, Peace be unto those who follow the guidance from their Lord.

Razorkiss I am thankful that you have atleast heard first hand some of his trash talking.

You said, “Now, if I was seeing things from this year, knowing that Dr. White had spoken to Sam about it in the past, I would be justified in going after it ”

Sam Shamoun has never shown or given me or anyone else respect at all Razokiss for nada.

I am not making you the spokesperson for Sam Shamoun but perhaps you can shed some light on why he didn’t respond to my questioning of his statements just this last week here:

I would direct you to the comment section. Here is where Sam Shamoun says to me

“Hey the granddiarrheaofthemouth19 has spoken, the gent who tried to get a oneness Christian to fight his battles for him since he knows he can’t do it himself,”

This is what I responded to him asking,

“Before I continue any discussion with you, I am asking you not only for the benefit of myself but for the benefit of Christians and Muslims as well, Have you publically apologised for making statements such as stuffing people in our Prophet’s (saw) privates?

Have you recanted from this approach? Do you today stand as a man who no longer uses such language in dealing with Muslims?”

There is an old song from the 1950s ‘Silence is Golden’ In this case Razorkiss Sam Shamouns silence on my sincere questions to him is not so golden.

Now you said you know that White has spoken to Sam about it before in the past. Why haven’t we (the Muslims, the public) heard this?

Or is this something that is done in private?

I honestly think James White started off as someone who was very sincere and I still believe that he is convinced of much of his own theology. He was doing great back in the days when he was debating Dennis Mckinley and the Encyclopedia of biblical inerrancy, dueling with king james only people, mormons etc.

But than this debating thing got quite addictive and helped to shape his personality and the discourse itself. Debating for White became larger than life. He started to feel that he could take on just about anyone on anything.

Is debate with Shabir Ally was a disaster. I mean how in the world are you going to debate Is the New Testament inspired. Sure that was great he got up and quoted Timonty and Peter good stuff. But that sure didn’t tell us WHY the New Testament is inspired. Who decided what books would be canon.

Instead he tried to frame the debate so as to say’ Hey we shouldn’t be debating at all the Qur’an confirms the entire New Testament’. This was not very honest at all. This is why I don’t think people after the truth do these things.

It would have been more appropriate for White to say to Shabir hey I think that the Qur’an infact endorses the New Testament that I have so lets debate this issue. That would have been great. You would have seen Shabir Ally stay focused on that particular task. Something that White failed to do.

He did better in their 2nd encounter where he did stay focused on the topic.

When White started to become the darling of inconsistency, and become a crass apologist who was above reproach that is when I realized gone are the days of a James White I used to respect.

  • http://razorskiss.net/ RazorsKiss

Jonathan: I know of what you speak, and I do believe that Dr. White has spoken to Sam about those prior comments. As we’ve said before, this would never have gone where it has gone with Dr. Caner if he had repented. I notice that all the sites with all these examples of Mr. Shamoun trash-talking (I’ve heard it myself) are more than a few years old, and have no new examples of such behavior.

Now, if I was seeing things from this year, knowing that Dr. White had spoken to Sam about it in the past, I would be justified in going after it – but as far as I know, there is no new information out there, and Sam has changed his ways. If you have some other information, however, feel free to contact me personally, but I just haven’t seen any.

“Before I get started, I would like to thank Muslims who have helped us Christians to realize that we have a gargantuan problem within the Body of Christ. I apologize to Yahya and Jonathan on behalf of my Reformed Christian brethren who have insulted you. Please, forgive us.”

You are welcome. I would also like to thank those Christians who are trying to hold fellow Christians to consistent standards be it Ergun Caner or James White.

As I said before I have no horse in this race between Arminians and Calvinist. My personal opinion is known that I do believe that Ergun Caner made embellishments.

However, I am amazed that the same Christians who are ready to hang Caner out to try have not stopped and taken a good hard look at James White.

If you go to his web site. You will notice he has a series of debates to attend this weekend in Detroit Michigan. One of his collegues Sam Shamoun has a TBA beside his name and has been that way for some time?

Why is that? Why is that Muslims have no problem debating White, Costa, William Lane Craig, Anis Shorrosh, or Mike Licona but don’t want to debate this Sam Shamoun (James White’s good buddy).

It’s becuase we don’t want to debate someone who says, “I’ll stuff you in Muhammed’s va*&Na and his mother’s breast”… This has NEVER recieved rebuke from James White. Not ever! Ergun Caner damages the gospel message to Muslims but Sam Shamoun doesn’t? Help me understand this?

On what CONSISTENT basis do we do this Mr. White?

Personally if the man said that to my face I would knock him flat on his ( well I’ll leave it to your imagination).

I think Muslims and Christians and Jews need to start ALL holding themselves to higher standards. Sure we have our cheerleaders who doesn’t. But keep in mind that there are the wayward, the seekers, the athiest and other’s who see these debacles and they calculate and weigh things out based upon our interaction.

Hussein Wario Thank you! Thank you and Peter Lumpkins and Tim Guthrie. Though we can continue to have dilligent discussion and debate on our respective faith traditions. I am glad some people are able to see beyond the smoke screen that White is blowing all over the place!

    Meglomaniac indeed.

After looking at pages of internet documents, tapes, and discussions–I have concluded that Mr. Kahn’s original hypothesis was largely correct. I was originally willing to “credit” EC with having a Muslim background–and dramatically expanding on it. I no longer think this “credit” is justified. His Muslim experience was both limited in depth and brief in actual hours. Except for the accident of birth and what ever claims this entitles him to, I feel that EC was never a Muslim.

    Must have been another “Craig”…

    • http://www.cracksinthecrescent.com Hussein

Craig insulted Dr. White and I banned him from making comments. I tweeted to him about it. Then he regained his commenting privileges. By the way, this is not Alpha and Omega Ministries where comments are censored permanently and people its leaders insult or criticize do not have an avenue on AOmin website to respond to the insults or charges adequately. Get it?

I’d just also point out that Craig, whom you informed me that you’d “banned”, posted comments the next day, as well as since. In fact, he has a comment on this post, predictably informing your readers of Dr. White’s “insanity”.

I’m disappointed that you did not do what you claimed to do.

How do you know he wrote his comment at the “behest” of James White? I didn’t even write my post at his “behest”. Once again, you’re being inconsistent with your *own* standards, let alone those utilized by Dr. White, myself, and others.

By (may I say it?) speculating as you are, aren’t you therefore guilty of exactly what you *claim* others are guilty of? Be consistent, please. When you make accusations such as this, you damage only yourself. Please think of your ministry, if nothing else.

It’s sad to see a vendetta unleashed against a man who would dare to ask legitimate questions about a public figure who has been caught in what appears to be a nearly decade-long pattern of deception.

“Touch not the Lord’s annointed!” indeed.

Mr. Wario, can’t you see that to chastise James White for publicly criticizing Ergun Caner, saying that White is the only one who criticizes people by name, you are being hypocritical? You are saying in effect, “No Christian should do what I am doing right now.”

    • http://www.cracksinthecrescent.com Hussein

It’s sad to see a vendetta unleashed against a man who would dare to ask legitimate questions about a public figure who has been caught in what appears to be a nearly decade-long pattern of deception.

This post was written at the “behest” of Dr. James White. Please quit crying foul. He repeatedly defended his public criticism of Drs. Ergun and Emir Caner, even using some scriptures to justify his actions and dispel his critics. So, according to Dr. White’s interpretation of the Bible, this is fine.

Again…so very well thought out and well spoken. My disdain for James White and his insanity grows daily. He damages the Church moment by moment with his megalomania and manipulation. Thank you for your controlled and measured responses to a crazy man.
You serve your brothers and sisters in Christ well.

Would you care to clarify this accusation:

“A few Reformed radio programs have given some airtime to Dr. White. He continues the same stories. I am convinced beyond the shadow of any doubt that Dr. James White is not participating in this saga to get to the truth but to drag this issue on for personal gain.”

What sort of gain? – financial, the ministry, or what

I believe Dr. White is involved in this saga for personal and ministry gain. He said in an interview in May, “Why are we elevating people like these to the position of expertise when they” converted at young age? He was referring to Drs. Ergun and Emir Caner. He teaches himself Islam. He thinks he is better than these brothers. Go figure.

Alpha & Omega Ministries, Inc. is incorporated in the state of Arizona as a non-profit organization. James White loves to critique Dave Hunt for speculations; but it is very possible that White is equally guilty at times of speculation. As to accountability; I understand that James White is accountable to other Christians but how that accountability works doesn’t appear to be public knowledge.

You can look up Alpha & Omega Ministries, Inc. Arizonia incorporation information on the Arizona Corporation website.

James White is always right; but I believe he has admitted to being wrong a few times. Per James White and his channel rats; Dr. White has never lost a debate. There is one debate i seriously believe he did lose but I keep being corrected on that matter by his faithful channel rats. Perhaps that debate was lost by Dr. Oakley and not Dr. White?

I don’t understand all of your points? I understand the one on speculation.
